After years of thinking about it I finally ordered stainless steel tire beads for 2 of our trucks, my son's M37 and my 6x6. Both trucks have 9.00-16 Power Kings, and the 6x6 has slightly bigger 14/36.5-16s on the front axle. None of the tires have ever been balanced, and several of the tires had minor to medium shaking.

The beads are small enough to flow through the valve stem pretty easily. I used an electric hair trimmer to vibrate the valve stem, and it worked really well. It took about 2 minutes to fill each tire.

In a word, these beads are great! At 25-30mph you can feel the beads settle into the tire and the ride smooths out very nicely. After a stop sign the process happens again, but it's noticeable only if you are looking for it. We had both trucks up to 60mph and the tires felt great the whole time.

I ordered the beads from a seller on ebay. You can search "the best tire beads" and he should pop right up, or use the link below. I got 8oz for the 9.00s, and 10oz for the 14/36.5s. He sells them in bulk, and you order the total weight you want. He will then break down the total and pack them in separate bags of whatever weight you want. He also sells small plastic applicators for $4.00.

I highly recommend tire beads.
