I have read through all of the comments below. A thought has occurred to me. How do you know it is vapor lock? I ask because about the only way to definitely tell your truck is vapor locking is to immediately pull over to the side of the road and look for boiling gasoline through a glass sediment bowl or pull the top of the carb off and see if the float bowl is empty.
I had a bad condenser once that made the truck act as if it was vapor locking.
