I can see why there may be electrical problems. In you picture I see many crimp splices. They go bad after awhile. The black wire which is the main feed to the truck has two splices within a couple of inches. The blue wire is spliced twice within the picture. The connectors on several wires are cracked and need to be replaced. If this is the condition of the wiring then I am not surprised that there are issues.

I would suggest that you redo some wiring. Replace both the black and blue wire. Run a single piece of wire from end to end with new connectors. No splices at all. I would also replace any other wires with splices in them.
You will get much better electrical connections without splices. Also replace any connectors that are not in good shape. I don’t uses crimp connectors as they can cause problems that I have explained earlier on this forum.

I also see a blue wire that has been cut and is just hanging there. Is it live? If the end touches anything, you could get a good short and possibly a fire from the spark. Remove any unused wires. If it is being save for something then at least insulate the ends.
