I guess the general idea started with Miele, Asko & Bosch in Europe. I mean the idea is that the faster you spin the wet clothes, the less power you’ll use drying them. Since power is the biggest expense dealing with laundry...that’s the logic behind it. The early Bosch laundry & dishwashers were incredible however I think they as well have sold out to the Chinese.
