Yep, I remember seeing your posts about your homemade intake. That was pretty cool, and proves that more carburetion wakes up these engines.
As for going 60 with 5.83s, I just went through the math and your engine must be turning 3300 - 3400 rpm to do that, even with 11.00 x 16 tires. That's winding it up a little more than I would want, at least on a continuous basis. For short bursts, it's probably ok.
