The 1676337 head has a different combustion chamber configuration than the earlier heads. The one I installed on the 230 was a -2 series head. I noticed the extra “Pop” when giving the Flathead the old gasolo. I also installed the distributor from a 1958 Plymouth on the motor. Yes, not original to my WC-12, but made a big difference in power. I still have the motor in case I ever decide I want to re-Install back in the truck. In using this head on our truck you will have to have the temp gauge hole retapped to accept the mechanical type gauge. By that time, the gauges were electric. I have a photo of the head before I installed, but still can’t seem to figure out how to post here on the forum. LOL.
