Oriented strand board seems to love black mold, it holds water longer than plywood and once it does swell it stays that way even when the board drys out. Plywood is not as strong as the OSB but I think that is when new - give it a few years and different weather conditions and the plywood wins every time.
400 sheets ...... you did not manage to get it directly from the mill? There was a time that the mill would sell direct if the order was big enough.
