The "Indian Head" was my first thought. I read several online comments about using Permatex #2 and Aviation Gasket sealer. I do not want to use anything with silicone. I will use a cork gasket with Indian Head on both sides. The unit flange has a .040 cup and the gasket is .062, not much squeezing going on and the gasket sealer with fill any imperfections. Was able to pluck out the big pieces with a 4 pronged mini grabber. I rinsed the tank out for awhile with a sieve underneath and got some other stings and small blobs. last I need to blow out the exit tube, dry and reinstall.
