Yeah, I'm not sure about the zinc content in the oils that Charles or George use. When I FINALLY get my engine back together, I am thinking of using synthetic oil after it's well broken in, plus an additional zinc additive. Some people say the zinc (or the synthetic, for that matter) is not necessary. Considering the zinc is mainly for the tappets/cam lobes, and the valve spring pressures are low in our engines, it may not be necessary, but I figure it doesn't hurt anything, and only costs a little bit, so I plan to do it. If I can get the synthetic oil to stay in the engine and not drip out, then I figure why not use it too.
