I have pictures of mine at the link, scroll down to transmission section and click on pictures. The PW cab gets pretty warm, no insulation so the gaps help with movement of air. As you will see, one of my photos shows carpet insulation and I have carpet on top to help keep the cab cool and minimize noise. Hopefully these pictures will help. As others have mentioned, DO NOT SEAL THE GAPS.
