Marty, I used the hanging pedal set from a mid 60's Dodge pickup. It was an easy conversion that looks factory. The unit I used has a cast steel plate to support the master cylinders, it goes on the engine side of the firewall and is mounted with the same bolts that hold the pedal assembly - firewall is sandwiched between them. Used a hole saw with the steel plate as a guide to cut through the firewall for the linkages. I also fitted a bracket from one of the mounting bolts to the steering column clamp bolts.
