That's a good idea. I had the carb that was on the truck when I bought it rebuilt before I figured out that it was for a car and I couldn't connect the throttle rod too it. I now have a rebuilt E7T2 on it. I had the same issue with both carbs and can't get then idle low. I need to do some more homework. The timing marks are way off the pointer when it runs best. I don't have a dwell meter. I want to know where I am before taking carbs apart or bringing to the carb shop that is pricey.
