You’re right Keith! The use of transmission guides is referenced in the War Department manuals of the 40’s and probably can be founds in manuals of the late 1800’s. I’m certainly not boasting of being the creator of transmission guides, I’m not that smart, but I am boasting on how they can be made, and their usefulness to the process, I would certainly use them again. I’ve never used them in the past to install transmissions, so it’s my first experience. We have a broad spectrum of mechanical experience and skills on the forum from little to no mechanical skills to highly skilled individuals and we should share experiences that we all can benefit from in order to do things better.
