I did what you did as far as cutting the heads off of grade 8 bolts. I removed two of the third member studs located approx. at either 10 and 2 o’clock or 11 and 1 o’clock can’t remember which. Inserted the pilot studs and slid the third member along the studs and up tight against the housing and the 3rd member studs. Removed the 2 pilot studs, reinstalled the short third member studs using some Permatex#2 and I was off to the races.
