One difference I know for sure is the extra oil holes for the automatic tranny used on the passenger cars. Some of the passenger cars used a tranny that shared the oil supply for circulaton and the block had a casting on the side by the oil pressure relief valve for supply and return. They are approx. 1/2 inch in diameter. I know this for a fact cause I had a Spitfire block a while back which I sold to a PW owner. I think the Spitfire block (ie script) was only available for the 265 ci block, the additional displacment is what made it a "Spitfire"
