Yeah, 6 years would kill me. That's a huge leap of faith.
I really don't mind so much that the project is pretty big. What totally kills me is feeling like I could repair this stuff forever and get no further on the project. For example, I'm now starting to hear what is sounding suspiciously like the rear end beginning to fail. Again? Really? Didn't I pay my dues there? So many things I repair, then realize, No.. Not working right. And repair them again and again. Its the endless backtracking and never seeming to get things right is what's killing me.
I feel like the guy in one of them ancient tragedies, where he makes a deal with dark forces to get the object of his desire. But, of course, misses the one fatal flaw in the deal that'll bind him to a eternal life of torture and to never actually get to enjoy what he sold his soul for.
Yeah, that sums it up nicely.
