That makes sense, because I'd seriously question why fresh oil in a new filter would be a problem for the bearings. If you were worried about debris in either a new filter or new oil you're buying the wrong stuff. Not to mention I know that it's not uncommon for oil to bypass the filter especially when cold and/or at higher RPMs.
Fuel makes sense though, in general and especially with the new injection systems. Good to know.
