Morning Everyone...I have questions.
So the swivel frame is a 58 & has an alternator. I gather it was the first year for the alternator. The crank pulley is different than anything I've seen & im not sure it's correct? It's cast? It's a balanced cast block of cast iron with 2 different size pulleys & it's attached to a hub that bolts to the crankshaft with the funky hand crank but.
It's been tampered with & im not sure if it's not been changed but it has a smaller belt..not like the wide belt I'm used to seeing. The alternator also has a small belt pulley. So the question...has this all been changed?
Someone here must have worked on a 58 with an alternator... or any 230 truck with an alternator?
I remember Eric telling me there would be lots of kooky changes on this year & so I'm trying to determine if this is one of them or if this is some good ol farmer buggery?
