I've had trouble over the years with leaking wheel cylinders and master cylinders on trucks that sit outside, unused for weeks or months at a time.

I've started using red rubber grease on the bores of my wheel cylinders and master cylinders when I rebuild them. My hope is that it will help keep moisture out of the system, and keep the aluminum pistons from sticking to the cast iron cylinder walls.

I started doing this 3 months ago, so I don't know yet if it helps or not. A lot of guys in England and Australia use it, and the mfg says that it's safe to use on brake system seals. We'll see how it goes.
