74 W200 Gross Weight 8,000 lbs

On the door of my 1974 Powerwagon W200 with a 318, indicates the gross weight at 8,000 pounds. It used to carry a salt spreader and plow, but I have retired it to plowing my 1/2 mile driveway and I am trying to get it road worthy again. The parts store thinks it is a 3/4 ton for some reason. Can anyone help me out with this? The chrome on the hood says it is a W200 but I cannot find anything else that gives the model.
