It claims to work with input voltages of 10-60 volts. Not sure it will work at 6 volts. On the other hand if you've converted your truck to 12 volts, you could add a resistor in series with the control pot to limit how far you could turn it up, and this gadget would give you variable wiper speeds plus solve the voltage conversion problem all in one unit.
