Thanks, Franz....interesting what you wrote. That's exactly why I asked. I suspected Eastwood's were imported, and I know you get what you pay for, mostly. I do like to buy American. This is hard because to get a decent unit, I guess you have to step up and spend the money. If you don't want hobby grade, but don't use it to make money or very often, it's kinda hard to justify the expense. So, you say, don't go cheap. What's cheap? 1k? At what point does a plasma cutter become a 'good' machine? I will check out Hypertherm on your recommendation and appreciate your taking the time to respond.
