Death Wobble

I own several sweptline trucks - some power wagons..some are Ds.

I have NEVER had death wobble on any of those trucks...1961 to 1971. But on my new trucks...1986-93...I do.

Does anyone know why this happens on newer trucks but doesn't seem to appear on older? Did geometry change?...design?...was there something lost and gained by those changes? Its seems odd that a new problem can't be solved by engineers faster and the trucks keep coming with the SAME problem.
