Dad was a bomb handler on Tinian. One of the other crews had the middle bomb on a three bomb trailer go off, blowing one of the unexploded bombs into the truck Dad was driving. Though it looks like that truck got rolled over- by explosion? Dad ran over to the other truck and put out the burning men and got them to the aid station. He was awarded a Soldiers Medal.
