Nick's PW

I was at Nick's today and he has what I believe to be a WC 1/2 ton rear axle. The brake backing plates match what I see in the TM10-1442, parts list for the 1/2ton. I know the 1/2ton is narrower in tracking than the 3/4 ton so that could be an issue. Knuckles seem smaller so I'm not sure if the PW hubs/drums will work unless the backing plates/knuckles are replaced with those from a PW. The part number for the 1/2 ton housing s/b 915362, where is the number located on the housing?

Before Nick get's to far into the housing, will the 1/2 housing work? If it will, what's required to make it work? Thanks guys!
