Hi Dave. I think flotation tires would work on snow, if they were REALLY wide, maybe 18" or more. You would probably still need chains, because the snow packs tight and then you lose traction. This, I believe is why taller, narrowr tires work better in snow, so they can dig down to something solid (hopefully). Even then, chains are a definite advantage. Tire options are difficult in snow conditions because you go from plowed, snow packed, slick roads to unplowed, deeper snow, with the same tires. Snow is probably the most difficult material the average person will drive in to find the right tires for.
