Look at the steel lines you probably have a cracked line causing air to be pulled in by the pump, the easiest way to check is remove the line from the tank end, get a flare type cap, install it on that end, Then remove the line from the fuel pump, carefully pour some light oil into the line only a half ounce or so, then take an air nozzel and blow air into the line from the fuel pump end and listen for any hiss, after applying air for a few seconds, then look at the entire run of the line. You will see the wet oil at the location of the crack. Good luck!
