Went to a swapmeet in Amherst, NH Sun with my neighbor (he's into restoring antique tractors). He told me he bought a 1950 Dodge pickup...I asked him what he's doing with the '53 Dodge he has in his yard...says he's gonna sell it. I told him I'd swap even up the pickup for my old Farmall Cub tractor. AGREED! So now I own a 1953 Dodge Job Rated 1 ton stake bed pickup. flathead 6 runs, body rot ONLY on front fenders! Even the wood on the bed is good! I couldn't believe it...it does need some things - clutch, tires, gas tank...but man it's definitely a jewel in the rough! And my neighbor is even throwing in another tranny and clutch. When I get some pics I'll post them.

So, now this week I'm getting the '65 PowerWagon inspected so I can drive it around...does anyone know any websites that have history of the "job rated" Dodge pickup? I never even heard of it until I owned one. :)

I also believe it's a 230 flathead 6 in it. My powerwagon is a 251. Seems Dodge came out with the 251 in '60-'61 so I'm "almost" sure I have a 230 flathead in the job rated...

My guess is this job rated truck probably goes as fast as the power wagon right? hahaha
