Guy, go to related links on this opening page and look up Docmo's Power Giant page. He's got some info on that era. I thnk you're truck should have the 230 and a 4speed. The '48-'53 trucks are easier to find parts for, because Dodge made/sold a lot of them....and they are still out there running....GREAT TRUCKS!!! A stake body was a factory issue!
