I did mention it a few years ago, don't think any response came. I'm putting the shaft back where it belongs and checking for differential differences before I blow the u-joints again. It already happened once whilst underway. I was lucky the bronze parts did not get (more) damaged. It was pretty cool to just pick up the rear drive shaft and various u-joint pieces from the road and toss them into the bed, crank in the Warn front hubs and continue on. I suppose it was entertaining for passers-by, but I actually enjoyed the experience. I did stop a quarter mile later to remove the spline/u-joint assembly that was flapping around on the emergency brake drum. It was easy to notice the speed difference then. I knew the rear differential had been sped up, but thought the driveshaft also turned faster. Thanks, guys!
