I have taken a NP 200 transfer case and put it in a WC 53 which has the differential centered in the rear axle. I have connected the rear drive line to to same output shaft as the emergency brake. This shaft turns at the same RPM as the other output shafts. I repeat all three outputs turn at the same RPM. If the fron and rear tires rotate at different speeds then someone has changed the ring and pinion gears in one of the axles.

Additionally if someone has crossed the rear driveline to the output shaft that the emergency brake is on without changing to an axle with the differential being in the center of the axle they are asking for major problems. You are asking for a lot of destroyed U joints and a lot of bearing wear in the differential and transfer case. If the U Joints fail when under way significant dammage may occur.

There was a post to this message board with the same conversion several years ago. Was this the same truck??
