they started going over seas years ago just like Mac and the others. you can see on the trucks sometimes where they have painted over the spot that used to say Made in USA. I noticed the quality of snap on chrome sockets deteriorate in the 90s. all of a sudden we started snapping in half vertically manys sizes of 3/8 drive sockets. whereas the older ones would not do that unless used too much on a 1/2 drive IR impact gun. ;/)
