The breaker that tripped is in a sub-panel in one garage "A". This breaker feeds another sub-panel in the second garage, garage "B", which feeds the knife-switch providing power to the compressor. (I really hope none of the Idaho State Electrical inspectors are reading this forum) Plus the compressor is a Dayton upright that's only a few years old.
