For flat fender PWs, in what year did Dodge switch from cloth covered wire for their wiring harness to black rubber covered wire? If and when they used cloth covered wire, where the wires color coded? Were rubber wires color coded? I plan on purchasing one wiring harness and then make a second one for my other PW. I started to look for color coded cloth wire, like the wirng harness on my early 1950s Jeep, and have been unable to find a source. So if the PW used color coded cloth covered wire, I would like suggestions on where to find the correct wire. My Jeep wires are rubber covered and then have a cloth like outer covering. Also, the only conduit that I have found in this area is plastic, and I need a source for cloth conduit. Thanks for your help.
