Look at what they do with new software. Apple iPads track your every move. Goggle does the same. Who knows what others do. Maybe I am wrong, but I believe older software, before the new trend in privacy invasion, does not include this invasion.
I guess it all depends on how deeply you use a computer on the web. For me, in my usage, I have no need for it.
