Probably not if it wasn't picked up by the news services and you had to learn it from your friend. I'd like to read the details on that one. You'd think something like that would make the news.
It if it was some right-wing radicals training to shoot liberals, it'd not only be all over the papers but the talking heads would be trying blame all conservatives for it, the FBI would be infiltrating all conservative organizations, and that Homeland Security lady would be encouraging Americans to report any neighbors who seem to like to shoot a lot. But left-wing radicals can do no wrong, so they're not newsworthy.
What's strange about that story is that they would go to Pakistan to learn to shoot. Why go to the other side of the Earth, into an unstable country, and have the hassle of shipping your favorite guns with you? There are plenty of organizations in Oregon that will teach you how to shoot straight, or if you don't like people, you can just go out in the woods and teach yourself. There's something missing in their thinking. Maybe they just had some weird fantasy that the Pakistani guerrillas would be their brothers in arms or something.
