Hi Tim. I'm glad you were reunited with the tool box. I had a similar experience with a favorite Buck folding knife years ago. I had had this knife for 20 years or more. I always carried it with me. One morning I was putting things in my pockets, getting ready to start the day, and I noticed the knife wasn't on the little table where it and everything else spent the night. I searched the house, my truck, my wife's car, everywhere. I continued to look for that knife for months after that. Finally one day, about 5 years later, I was replacing the battery in my wife's car. (same car). I had a trouble light under the hood and happened to catch a glimmer of something shiny down in between the inner fender well and the backing for the grill. I wrestled the shiny thing out and sure enough, it was my old Buck knife. I immediately flashed back on the day, 5 years earlier, when I was replacing the water pump on that car ('68 Ford Country Squire with 390). There is a little short piece of heater hose between the pump and the intake manifold that always needs to be trimmed just perfectly to fit. I must have laid the knife down and it slipped into it's hiding place for the next five years. I later inadvertently dropped that knife into our wood stove, and the fire destroyed it. I sent it back to Buck and they sent me a brand new one. I'd prefer that I still had the old one, but can't kick about Buck Knives for their warrantee. JH
