ALL cylinders will come up with oil. The proper way is to squirt oil into all cylinders, and compare the gains. But since the oil itself will raise the comp, you need to get EXACTLY the same amount into each cylinder. AND have exactly the same amount remain in each cylinder. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

I think wet tests are done by mechanics who want to sell a new engine.

Bad rings in one hole ought to make puffs in the crank breather. Like an old steam engine.

85 psi is not too badly burnt valve, maybe just a tight adjustment? Don't those have mechanical adjustments?
