I also have a Braden MU2 knockoff. It's a Rhino Winch, made by the Friendship Co. (or something like that) in Taiwan. It looks very stout, although I have no idea what the internals are made of. It looks like it possibly has a couple of visible design improvements, including some additional gussets or ribs on one of the drum flanges. Also, the piece the holds the brake pad arm is cast integrally with the gearbox housing, rather than being a bolt-on like it is on the MU2 (these bolts on mine busted off at some point in a prior life).

I couldn't resist buying it, as it was only $200, brand new.

I haven't used it yet, but I'm interested in finding out if anyone has any experience with these. How good are they?
