Heh, this is so very intewresting.

I just flushed and bled the brakes on my '63 W200, and though the rear bleeder screws haven't been removed in years, the fluid didn't look too bad. Of course, I cleaned out the reservoir first, which was full of crud.

Problem is, the pedal still feels kind of soft, as if there's air in the lines somewhere. The fluid that come out of the lines doesn't look too bad nor does it have lots of bubbles. I've had lots of success bleeding brakes on cars, so I thought I might just need to rebuild the master cylinder.

I didn't know anything about the power unit under the cab, just totally forgot about it.
That thing sure hasn't been opened in many years. So last night I cleaned off the bleeder screw area and the screw is soaking in oil right now. Tonight I'll try opening the screw and bleeding it.

I wonder.....
