when our neighbor Mel (aka uncle Mel) passed away his widow Alice had a big garage sale to
sell his stuff. Gretchen (my wife) worked with Alice and others to inventory & price all his tools & equipment.
He had "tube" stereo equipment and a man took
a look & called his father (who collected & restored these items) he came right over and
looked it over and asked Alice the price she
looked at her sheet (which had what Mel had paid ) & told him six hundred he looked at her and said this is worth twelve hundred to
me and let me write you a check.
