He has lots of new 3-53s with aluminum blocks, maybe some Spicer 3053As, which with 4.89s and 36" tires give 2400 in 5th (a 3-53 develops peak HP and the governor starts to govern at 2800).
He quoted me $1400/engine, which if they're new and stored properly is a GREAT price.
