Hello...I am sneeking this post at work, as I yet have internet access at my home. I have inherited a '53 M-37 that is in great shape, low miles and has no rust. The catch is that it has no motor...my Uncle pulled the motor out of the truck in hopes to replace it, as the original motor had a crack in the block. I am in the process of putting the truck in running order, but I do have a pressing question: which would be the easiest and most economical to install in my truck...a Slant-6 or a 318/360? I know that Ray Suiter has a kit for the small-block V8's...and I have been reading past forums about the process of installinga slant-6 in the M-37. I would like to know from somoene with experience before I dive into head first. I think the slant-6 is a excellent motor, and I also think that the V8's are exceptional as well. I just want to retain my PTO winch and my transmisson and make my neighbors envious again *L*
many thanks
