I would think that since my truck has the starter pedal, that i could isolate the starter from the rest of the trucks electrical. I could get 2 six volt batterys and wire the in parrallel ( both positve posts together and both neg together and connect to the trucks electrics, but not to the starter, then run a jumper wire ( # 4 copper) between 1 positve post and 1 neg post. then get my 12 volts from the other 2 posts for the starter or whatever else I wound want to run.You would charge your batterys with the 6 volt setup. Although If you didn't use a battery isolater some how the batterys would drain each other when not in use. I'm going to use the better suggestion and convert the whole truck to 12 volts and use a 12v battery and not be so complicated
