You will not have any problems with your set up. The older amps gauge is more that capable of handling the amp load of the small alt. Now if you where to use,say a 100 amp alt., then you would need to up-grade the gauge to one for that aplication,and NOT
The factory one Dodge used in there dash cluster. They where Junk. I thinking SW Type.
