I would go discs as i have them on the pulling truck and they are light years ahead of the the discs in terms of performance and parts availability. the only downside would be the loss of the parking brake setup (a good observation) which i will have to eyeball when i get the trailer home. i would want to maintain parking brakes and would have to do a work around. i do not like the drums and after converting all of my trucks to helitool discs it would be easier to 'stock' parts that are all the same. in addition, i will be pulling the trailer behind my yukon also and feel the performance the discs provide will help with the higher speeds. just out loud thinking and advice seeking at this point.
i just might leave it all alone once i evaluate the condition.
