In my manual that I just looked at right now I see your right. They use 4 battrys in the 24 volt systems. I wonderd why they would not put 2 and 2 to make 24 volts myself keeping the load even on all battrys? I guess the owner befor me did not want to buy the 4th one? I will have to correct it and bite the bullet for another one to add to the 3 new ones I got all ready bought. I will just have to find another spot for my 4th Deep Cycle one I use for my 12 working lights I run when the engine is not running. That way I don't worry about being able to start it if they are left on to long at night. Mark H.
