But actually, it might be a bad 'starter drive' or Bendix. Put in new brushes whil in there. Costs about $20. Or maybe a weak battery/cable not letting it slam into engagement. Try to jump it? Where are you? I have 8 of those starters from government surplus, $10 each, in San Diego. If you had a spare, you could push the truck up the hill, then kick the starter under the wheel, bounce it a couple times, then push REALLY HARD, then kick the starter under the wheel again, keep it bouncing, up the hill, then bump start it back down....don't let it bounce over the 'chock' though....
*substandard human beings are those less than 6'2" tall, and weigh less than 1/7th of a ton, and thereby can't push their own Power Wagons up hill.
