Anyone have a very early 1946 WDX?

I have what I believe to be a early 1946 WDX (SN 83900585)which has some peculiarities that I would like to confirm with owners of other early WDX models.
1) The passenger side of the hood does not have the Power Wagon nameplate, and there is no indication that there was ever holes for one. Did the early WDX's have only the driver's side nameplate?
2) The hood lower sides have two holes below the center louvers. There were round head screws in the holes with no apparent use other than filling the holes. WW II 3/4 ton trucks appear to have the same part and have the holes. Could the early WDX's have used up leftover parts?
