Just pulled the winch off the truck to look at it. Man there heavy to carry to the bench glad I removed the cable to lighten it some!!! Bronze Gears have very little play in them and are OK. The Clutch Fork has a Allen Screw in it and it was loose and had worked it way out of the Fork some just enough to cause the fork to not push the Clutch Dogs in good. When the load was put on the winch the Dogs popped on the drum but did not hurt them. I could move the clutch fork about 1/2 inch it was so loose! Removed the allen screw it was good and so is the hole on the shaft. Very lucky this time should buy a Loto Ticket! Tighten up the Allen Screw REAL TIGHT and all the play went away on the fork. It was unscrewed a bunch of turns. Had to come in and look at the picture because a ring dropped when I pull the end off now I know where it goes aggain. Going back out to finish assembleing it and put it back on. This makes my day and I might beat the snow storm. Mark H.
